IKE Varsity Baseball has a Senior Party on Senior Day

Eagles Win: 12.00 - 2.00
The Eisenhower Eagles Seniors threw their own party on Senior Day, crushing the St. Clair Saints 12-2. Justin Hurt picked up the win on the mound, striking out 8 in only 3 innings of work. Frank Asta slammed the door shut in the final 2 innings without allowing an earned run. Offensively, Hurt added 4 RBI's on 2 hits, while Steven Jorgens and Caidan Ventimiglio each added 2-run singles. Lukas Zahuranic added 2 RBI'S and scored 3 times, while Pietro Ciaramitaro, Dominic Ferraro, Grant Bombe, Wesley Gooch, and Asta all added a hit. GO IKE!!!!

Eagles Win: 8.0 - 7.0
All 22 Eisenhower Eagles played a huge part in IKE's 8-7 victory vs. Berkley Sunday night in downtown Detroit. Nick Opperman picked up the win on the mound by hurling a scoreless 6th inning while Donovan Erfourth slammed the door shut for the save with a 1-2-3 7th inning, highlighted by catcher CJ Rockafellow's game winning catch. Frank Asta was the pitcher of the game, with perfect 3 strikeout 2nd inning and he also added an RBI single. Justin Hurt was the player of the game with a 3 strikeout opening inning on the mound and an inside the park home run in the 3rd inning. Zack Verellen pitched 2 scoreless innings while Owen Van Dam had a triple and a double. Sammy Zwolinski drove in Van Dam for the game winning run in the 7th inning. GO IKE!!!!!!!!

Eagles Win: 10.00 - 4.00
The Eisenhower Eagles erupting for a 6 run 10th inning to break a 4-4 tie with Ford yesterday, and pick up the W 10-4. CJ Rockafellow had 4 hits, Wesley Gooch and Sam Zwolinski each had 2, and Zach Verellen had 3 hits and 5 RBI for IKE. Logan Bach picked up the win on the mound, shutting out the Falcons the final 3 innings while striking out 6. IKE is now 4-10 on the season and 2-4 in the MAC RED.

Eagles Lose: 1 - 9
Ford's #1 pitcher was just that in game #1 of a 3 game series vs. Eisenhower. Kameg allowed only 3 hits and 1 run while striking out 9 Eagles. For the Eagles Lukas Zahuranic had a 2B and scored the lone run for IKE, while CJ Rockafellow had an RBI and Donny Erfourth had a hit.

Eagles Lose: 3 - 5
Owen Van Dam hit his 2nd 3-run home run of the year, but it wasn't enough as the IKE Eagles dropped their first MAC RED series to the Romeo Bulldogs 2 games to 1. Logan Bach hurled 2+ shutout innings on the mound. Carson Landino doubled in the game while captains Lukas Zahuranic and Justin Hurt both reached base multiple times. The Eagles are 3-8 on the season and 1-2 in the MAC RED.

The Eisenhower Eagle baseball team only gave up 5 hits, but ending up dropping game #1 of doubleheader 7-0, to the Lake Orion Dragons. Sam Zwolinski threw 2 shutout innings while CJ Rockafellow was the offensive and defensive MVP for IKE.

Eagles Lose: 2.00 - 3.00
5 Eisenhower Eagle pitchers held the Dragons of Lake Orion to only 5 hits for the 2nd straight game. Only 1 hit was allowed after the first inning, but the Dragons scored all 3 of their runs in the 1st. Ike was able to fight back with 2 runs in the 6th inning but left the bases loaded, and ended up falling 3 to 2. Justin Hurt, Logan Bach, Zack Verellen, Donny Erfourth, and Grant Bombe were great on the mound. Wesley Gooch, Bombe, Sam Zwolinski, Drew Baker, and Dominic Ferraro all had hits, with Ferraro reaching base 3 times. The IKE Eagles are now 1-1 in the MAC RED and 3-7 overall on the year.

Eagles Lose: 4.00 - 5.00
Justin Hurt left the mound after 5 innings with a 1-run lead, but the IKE Eagles couldn't hold it and fell to Romeo after giving up a 2-out 9th inning RBI double. Drew Baker struck out 5 in his 3 2/3 inning relief appearance. The IKE offense was paced by 2 hits a piece from Carson Landino and CJ Rockafellow. The guys are now 1-1 in the MAC RED and 3-5 on the season. The squad looks to finish the rubber game with Romeo ASAP, as the teams are currently tied 3-3 in the top of the 6th inning. GO IKE!

Eagles Win: 7.00 - 6.00
It took an extra inning, but the IKE Eagles defeated the Romeo Bulldogs 7-6 on a walk-off bases loaded run scored by Zack Verellen on a Bulldog wild pitch. Grant Bombe came in threw 3 1/3 shutout innings after the Eagles gave up their 6-0 lead. Drew Baker picked up the win, striking out the only 2 batters he faced. Carson Landino was exceptional the first 3 innings on the bump. Offensively, the Eagles were paced by Lukas Zahuranic's 2 hits and doubles by CJ Rockafellow(2 RBI's) and Verellen. Eisenhower is 1-0 in the MAC RED and 3-4 overall on the season.

Eagles Lose: 5 - 6
Logan Bach fired a gem for the Eagles, striking out 10 Huskies and only allowing 2 hits in 5+ innings on the mound. Carson Landino, Braylon Powell, and Frank Asta each had 2 hits, while Lukas Zahuranic drove in the winning run with a double. Wesley Gooch laid down a perfect sacrifice bunt to set up Zahuranic. The 2-4 Eagles start MAC RED play on Tuesday at home vs. the Romeo Bulldogs. GO IKE!

A 4-run 3rd inning put the Eisenhower Eagles baseball team in a hole they couldn't quite climb out of. Sam Zwolinski threw 2 huge innings on the mound to keep the boys in the game but their late rally fell short with the winning run stranded on 2nd base. 5 different Eagles had hits while Lukas Zahuranic added an RBI and a run scored.

Grant Bombe and Zack Verellen combined to strike out 10 Saints and allowed only 3 hits but it wasn't enough as they fell 3-2 to St. Clair. Justin Hurt had 2 hits while Donny Erfourth and Dom Ferraro each drove in runs. The Eagles are 1-3 on the season.

Although the Eagles fell to 1-2 on the season, Drew Baker was lights out on the mound. Baker struck out 7 while allowing only 3 hits, 0 walks, and 0 earned runs. Offensively Donovan Erfourth and Braylon Powell had 2 hits a piece while Noah Sheridan and Zach Verellen each drove in 2.

The Eisenhower Eagle Varsity Baseball Team scored 9 times in the 2nd and 3rd inning and coasted to 10-5 victory at Utica High School in their first game of the year. Senior Justin Hurt was lights out in 3 hitless shutout innings to pick up the "W" on the mound. Junior Owen Van Dam was the star at the plate, smashing a 2-run double and blasting a 3-run home run. Senior Pietro Ciaramitaro added 2 hits and senior Dom Ferraro scored twice. The Eagles are 1-0 on the season.
