All 22 Eisenhower Eagles played a huge part in IKE's 8-7 victory vs. Berkley Sunday night in downtown Detroit. Nick Opperman picked up the win on the mound by hurling a scoreless 6th inning while Donovan Erfourth slammed the door shut for the save with a 1-2-3 7th inning, highlighted by catcher CJ Rockafellow's game winning catch. Frank Asta was the pitcher of the game, with perfect 3 strikeout 2nd inning and he also added an RBI single. Justin Hurt was the player of the game with a 3 strikeout opening inning on the mound and an inside the park home run in the 3rd inning. Zack Verellen pitched 2 scoreless innings while Owen Van Dam had a triple and a double. Sammy Zwolinski drove in Van Dam for the game winning run in the 7th inning. GO IKE!!!!!!!!
