IKE Loses First Game of the Season to Romeo

EISENHOWER 1 - ROMEO 2

In a MAC RED showdown Romeo and Eisenhower played to 0-0 at half. In the second half, IKE struck first off of a free kick, Devyn Raymond hit the back of the net to put IKE up 1-0.  The Bulldogs fought back and scored the equalizer. Romeo wasn’t done yet and scored again, taking the lead 2-1 and held on to the victory. IKE had many opportunities throughout the game, but fell short connecting on the scoring opportunities.  

JV played a nice game Monday night, fighting back from a 1-2 deficit and tied Romeo 2-2.

IKE looks to bounce back when they play Wednesday night against Dakota at Dakota. JV at 5:30, Varsity at 7pm.

IKE Shuts Out Stoney Creek in Non-Conference Play

EISENHOWER 2 - STONEY CREEK 0

Eisenhower defeated the Stoney Creek Cougars 2-0 Thursday night in a non conference match up. IKE controlled the majority of the game. Eagles defense was lead by the 3 "players of the game", Sonja Peterson, Nicole VonZitwitz, and Gianna Paladino.

The scoring came in the first half. Gabby Gojcaj scored both IKE goals, one unassisted after pressure and a take away by Gojcaj and one following a nice pass from Devyn Raymond.  

Eagles prepare to play MAC rival Romeo Monday at Romeo HS. JV plays at 5:15pm followed by Varsity at 7pm. Keep up the great effort!

EISENHOWER 2 – HENRY FORD 0

On “Charity Night” where many families and and fans generously provided donations to the “Fueling Kids’ Futures” for the Utica Community School District, the Eisenhower Eagles Girls Soccer Team was victorious against Henry Ford II. Eisenhower was able to control the ball most of the evening and continued their winning ways. Playing against a heavily weighted defense put up by the Henry Ford Falcons, IKE was able to tally the first goal and set the tone. Midway through the first half, Captain Ellera Jakubowski received a timely pass from Gabby Gojcaj and Jakubowski was able to slide it past the Ford goal keeper to make it 1-0. A few minutes later, Captain Julia Aniel tallied the second goal with an impressive left-footed rocket from 25 yards out to give IKE the 2-0 lead. Gabby Riggio provided the assist on Aniel’s goal. The Eagles had several scoring opportunities throughout the evening, either sending shots just high of the net or stopped by the hard working Falcons’ keeper. The IKE defense and keepers were able to limit any offense in the Eisenhower end of the field and gained the shutout!  With no scoring by either team in the second half, the game ended 2-0, game won by your Eisenhower Eagles! Thank you again for all of those that donated to charity night!  

The Eagles Junior Varsity also got the “Dub” winning in style, 4-0 against Henry Ford II. Great work girls!  

No day off here, The Eisenhower Eagles play Stoney Creek on Thursday, April 17th at Stoney Creek HS. JV starts at 4:00pm and the varsity starts at 5:30pm. Go Eagles.

IKE WINS MAC Red Season Opener Over Anchor Bay Tars!

EISENHOWER 6 - ANCHOR BAY 1

The Eisenhower Eagles Girls Soccer team played their first game in the MAC Red conference Monday evening. The Eagles were pretty much in control the entire game. Gabby Gojcaj was the recipient of a pass from Devyn Raymond early in the first half and she started the Eagles scoring 1-0. The Tars fired back to even the game at 1-1. Shortly thereafter, Gojcaj scored again to give the lead back to IKE. Sonja Peterson took a corner kick for the Eagles and the well placed kick was headed in by Gojcaj to make it 3-1. Ellera Jakubowski got into the scoring action after receiving a pass from Devyn Raymond, Jakubowski slid the ball past the goalie on the short side to make it 4-1 Eagles. Just before the half, Julia Aniel showing great desire and hustle, took the ball from an Anchor Bay midfielder, stayed with it and delivered a perfect pass downfield to Jakubowski for her second goal of the game. Gojcaj wasn’t done yet, she netted the final IKE goal of the game assisted by Gabby Riggio. Consistent play from the IKE defense and both keepers, Molly Mellott and Anna Polisei helped the Eagles secure the victory. The Eagles move to 5-0 on the year, 1-0 in the MAC Red. Gojcaj finished with four goals, Jakubowski with two goals, Raymond finished with two assists, Riggio, Aniel and Peterson each had one helper in the IKE victory.

The JV girls played a hard fought game as well this evening that ended in a 1-1 Tie.

The Ike Girls host Henry Ford II on Wednesday, April 16 at Swinehart Stadium🚧. It's a charity evening featuring FUELING KIDS' FUTURE!!  The JV plays at 4:30pm followed by the Varsity at 6pm. Come out and support your Eagles.

IKE Victory Over Defending State Champs.

EISENHOWER 2 - ROCHESTER ADAMS 0

The Eisenhower Eagles took on the 2024 Division 1 State Champions Friday night at Adams High School. The Eagles and the Highlanders exchanged opportunities and played to a 0-0 halftime. The second half went in the IKE Eagle’s favor. Following a penalty just outside the 18 yard line, Senior Devyn Raymond stepped up and hit a low line drive to the left side of the net to give the Eagles the 1-0 lead. Shortly thereafter Raymond intercepted a kick from the Adams keeper and knocked it in the net to give IKE the 2-0 lead. Keeper Molly Mellott was strong in net the entire game, with multiple saves. All of the IKE defenders, led by Nicole Von Zittwitz and Sonja Peterson, stayed strong. The middle was patrolled all evening by Julia Aniel, getting some defensive help from Ellera Jakubowski and Lily Pantaleo. IKE was able to keep the shutout and take the 2-0 victory. The Eagles move to 4-0 on the year.  

The JV girls played a hard fought game as well this evening that ended in a 0-0 Final.  

The Ike Girls host the Anchor Bay Tars Monday evening at Swinehart Stadium. This will be the first game for IKE in the MAC RED. IKE is looking to defend their title. The JV plays at 4:30pm followed by Varsity at 6pm. Bring your hard hat and support your Eagles as they look to further develop as a team and continue their winning ways.

EAGLES Fly High with a Decisive Victory over Chieftains

Eisenhower 7 - Utica 1

The Eisenhower Eagles won their 3rd game of the season Wednesday evening defeating the Utica Chieftains 7-1 at Swinehart Field. All of the Eagles contributed to the victory and provided plenty of offense. Junior Gabby Riggio led the Eagles scoring three goals, Junior Gabby Gojcaj tallied two goals and two assists, Captain Junior Ellera Jakubowski knocked in one goal and provided two assists, while Sophomore Maryn Smith finished the scoring with one goal of her own. The defense and midfield of the Eagles were led by Junior Captains Julia Aniel, Sonja Peterson, Abby Beardsley and Junior Nicole Von Zittwitz. They were able to keep scoring opportunities low for the Chieftains.

The IKE Junior Varsity girls won again, defeating Utica 4-0 and move to 2-0 on the season.

The Eagles will travel to Rochester Adams to play on Friday evening. IKE Varsity plays first, beginning at 5:30PM followed by the JV at 7PM at Rochester Adams High School.

Varsity Girls Battle Oxford for the W

EISENHOWER 5 - OXFORD 4

The Eisenhower Eagles Varsity Girls Soccer team continued the winning ways with a 5-4 victory over the Oxford Wildcats.  Eagles had to overcome an early 0-2 deficit before starting their come back.  Following a free kick by Gabby Riggio, Devyn Raymond was able to get a rebound and provide IKE with their first goal. Shortly thereafter, Raymond took a pass from Gabby Gojcaj and scored her second of the evening to level the game at 2.  Gabby Gojcaj added an IKE goal before the half, giving the Eagles the edge. It was a back-and-forth game all evening. Lily Pantaleo was able to add a goal early in the second half following a loose ball in front of the net. Tied at 4-4, midway through the second half, Gojcaj blocked a pass, gathered it, and took it to the house for an unassisted goal that put IKE up 5-4. IKE held on to lead and gained the victory over the Oxford Wildcats. The junior varsity match against Oxford was canceled due to weather conditions.

The Eisenhower Eagles play the Utica Chieftains on Wednesday April 9th at Swinehart field.  The junior varsity game begins at 4:30pm followed by the varsity game at 6 PM.  Go Eagles.  Dress warm and Come support your EAGLES!

IKE Crushes Stevenson in Season Opener

EISENHOWER 8 - STEVENSON 0

The Eisenhower Eagles Varsity Girls started their season strong with a dominant 8-0 victory over the Stevenson Titans. The scoring was steady throughout the evening and all of the Eagles factored into the victory. Both goalies, Junior Molly Mellott and Freshman Anna Polisei contributed to the clean sheet behind a stingy defense and midfield led by Junior Captains Julia Aniel, Abby Beardsley, Sonja Peterson and Junior Gabby Riggio. Junior Captain Ellera Jakubowski had the first goal of the IKE season and finished with two goals on the evening. Senior Devyn Raymond and Junior Gabby Gojcaj also tallied two goals apiece. Senior Priti Chahil and Sophomore Sam Losh each added a goal. Senior Lily Pantaleo and Sophomore Maryn Smith each had two assists and Chahil had another.  

The Eagles, junior varsity soccer team was also victorious on Friday beating the Stevenson Titans 4-0.

The Eisenhower Eagles travel to play Oxford on Monday, April 7. The varsity game begins at 5:30 followed by the junior varsity game at 7 PM.  Go Eagles.  🦅⚽️
