EISENHOWER - 3.    DAKOTA - 0

The Utica Eisenhower Eagles took on the Dakota Cougars in a MAC RED battle this evening.  With constant rainfall at Dakota Stadium, the teams played to a 0-0 tie through the first half.   In the second half, the Eagles carried the play and following a handball penalty in the box, Ellera JAKUBOWSKI knocked in a penalty kick to give IKE the 1-0 lead.  Midway through the second half Ava DUKAJ found the back of the net and made it 2-0, after getting a nice pass from JAKUBOWSKI.  DUKAJ received a long pass from Sonja PETERSON and was able to create space and score her second goal of the evening to seal the game at 3-0.  The defense was staunch all evening, supporting keeper Molly Mellott as IKE recorded their 4th shutout of the year.  IKE matches up against Romeo on Wednesday night at 7 PM at Romeo.  

The Junior Varsity Eagles lost a close one to Dakota tonight 0-1. The JV matches up against Romeo at 5:30 on Wednesday night. Go IKE!
