Eisenhower 3 - Anchor Bay 1
It was a “tale of two halves”. After a defensive battle to start the game, Anchor Bay took a 1-0 lead into halftime. The second half was a different story. Eisenhower controlled the pace of play on offense, defense, and in net. Ellera Jakubowski evened the game at 1-1 with a “hustle play”, takeaway and goal. Sonja Peterson knocked in the go ahead goal with an awesome header off of a corner kick by Senior Captain Ava Dukaj. Dukaj sealed the victory with a strong shot to the “upper 90,” scoring the third goal for the Eagles.
The Junior Varsity Eagles lost this evening to Anchor Bay 0-1
Eagles will face off against Dakota on Monday April 29th at Dakota High School. Go IKE.
