The Eisenhower Eagles girls varsity soccer team squared off against Rochester Adams to a 1-1 tie Monday night. The Eagles scored first, midway through the first half, following a take away by Julia Aniel who forwarded the ball to Ava Dukaj . Dukaj delivered a solid pass to Ellera Jakubowski who finished the shot from the right side into the open left corner to take a 1-0 lead. After a defensive struggle through much of the game, Rochester Adams was able to tie the match at one. Some strong defensive play late by several Eagles helped stop Adams’ offensive threats. Ike goalie Molly Mellott played tough the entire game to secure the 1-1 tie.
Ike Varsity plays Grosse Pointe North at Swinehart Stadium this Wednesday at 4:30pm. Go Ike!
