EISENHOWER EAGLES 1 - TROY COLTS 2 

The Eisenhower Girls Varsity Soccer team fought to the end, and experienced their first loss of the season to the undefeated Troy Colts.  It was a very evenly matched game that came down to a few bounces.  Troy’s offense was kept in check for much of the contest, other than a unpredictable bounce off of free kick that found the back of the net and a toe kick goal from one of Troy’s hustling forwards.  Eisenhower came right back, cutting the lead in half with a long pass from Julia Aniel across the field to a sprinting Ellera Jakubowski who slid the ball past Troy’s goalie.  This was Aniel’s fifth assist of the year and Jakubowski’s sixth goal of the season.  With 15 seconds remaining in the game, Eisenhower shot a free kick that was volleyed back and forth;  Goalie Molley Mellott came way out of goal to support her offense and centered the ball up to Forward Ava Dukaj that had her goal tying shot knocked aside by Troy’s goalie.   
The Eagles will face off against the Rochester Adams Highlanders on Monday night.  Varsity will play at 7:00pm and our JV girls will play at 5:30pm at Adams Field, located 3200 W. Tienken Road, Rochester Hill, Michigan.   
The JV Girls lost their contest to the Troy Colts JV squad 0-3.  Go IKE!
