The Blue Devils struck early in the first half, forcing a turnover and scoring to take a 1-0 lead, but just before halftime, Junior Lexi Morrison found Senior Captain Nina Ferraro and she evened things up with her first goal of the season.
The 2nd half found the Morrison/Ferraro combo not once, but twice earning Ferraro a hat-trick and taking a 3-1 lead. GPS countered with one more shot from distance, but could not get the equalizer and the Eagles came out with their first MAC Red Conference of the season. Sophomore Amy Sidaway collected the win, in net.
The Eagles are 2-0-1 on the season and host MAC Red rival Dakota on Monday for their first home game of the season. Varsity kicks off at 6pm.
