ADLAI STEVENSON HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The Eisenhower Eagles girls varsity soccer team started their 2024 season with a 7-0 victory over the Stevenson Titans. Sophomore Goalie Molly Mellot earned a shut out in her inaugural varsity game in net. Mellot was supported by a strong defensive performance, led by senior Hadley Farr and sophomores Sonja Peterson, and Abigail Beardsley. Multiple goals were scored by the Eagles; led by freshman Maryn Smith with three goals, sophomore Ellera Jakubowski with two goals, while freshman Sam Losh, and senior Natalie Vernon each with one goal. Senior Ava Dukaj, sophomore Julia Aniel and sophomore Sonja Peterson each had an assist to guide the fury of goals by the Eagles. It was a team effort as all of the girls contributed in some fashion to earn the 1-0 start to the season.
