IKE JV Baseball makes a comeback but falls just short against Utica

The IKE JV guys took their first loss of the season on Wednesday, falling 4-3 to the Utica Chieftains. Brian Sowinski and Jacob Holmes had 2 hits each and Ian Gregorich and Andrew Ewald combined to strike out 13 Chieftains.

IKE's JV Baseball team won the season opener with a superstar effort from Tyler DeCardenas and some help from his mates. DeCardenas picked up the win on the mound, allowing 1 hit and 1 walk while striking out 7. Holden Winningham picked up the save while striking out 3 in his single inning of work. Offensively, Winningham and Brian Sowinski scored on DeCardenas' hit after hits of their own. The Eagles are 1-0 in the young season.
