The boys had to dig deep to pull out a must-win vs. the Dakota Cougars on Thursday. At the end, it took 10 innings but the Eagles came out on top.The strength of the IKE Squad was once again on display when Daniel Bruzdewicz, Jake Verellen, and Logan Sandri combined to allow 5 hits, 2 runs, and 0 walks in 10 innings of pitching! The 10th inning rally started with 2-outs. Josh Bussineau singled to centerfield, Lukas Zahuranic walked, and Luke Aniel hit a shot to 2nd base to load the bases. With the bases loaded and Danny Szalkowski at the plate, the 1-1 pitch was wild and Bussineau scored for a walk-off 3-2 victory for IKE. Aaron Thorpe had a double and an RBI single as the guys pushed their MAC RED record to 5-3. The Eagles are 8-6 overall on the year as they head to Comerica Park tonight at 6 pm to battle the Norsemen of Grosse Pointe North.
