The varsity baseball team finished their regular season yesterday, winning both games of a doubleheader against the Stevenson Titans. In game #1, Joseph Bullock ended the game with a walk-off double and a 4-3 Eagle victory. Logan Sandri picked up his first varsity win on the mound and the offense was led by Anthony Cardamone and Josh Bussineau's 2 hits a piece, and David Kedrow scored 2 runs.
In game #2, 5 IKE pitchers scattered 2 hits and struck out 9 Titans. Jake Verellen picked up his 4th win of the season. Angelo Asta had 2 hits while David Kedrow, Anthony Cardamone, and Tyler Genova drove in runs. Asta, Kedrow, and Danny Szalkowski all had doubles. The boys finished the regular season 17-18(8-7 in the MAC RED). The Eagles start the MHSAA State Playoffs on Friday at 1 pm vs. Rochester at Rochester Adams.
