The Freshman eagles finally had some competition vs. the Dakota Cougars in a hard fought, physical battle Friday night.  Evenly matched in the first, the girls had to play tough D and move the ball quickly to come out to an  8-6 lead.  The Cougars full court press proved troublesome in the 2nd quarter causing turnovers and some confusion resulting in a 17-18 halftime deficit.   The second half was a different story. Having a full- gym of Eisenhower supporters cheering them on (thanks to the JV girls and boys teams), they came out strong in the third coming back to a 29-27 lead.  The Eagles sunk their talons deep into the Cougars in the fourth putting them away with great plays, scrappy defense and tons of heart coming out with a 41-34 win!   Many players contributed to scoring starting with Amy Sidaway's 18 points and Kenzie Brinkmann who was the rebounding QUEEN scoring 8 points.  Chloe O'Loughlin and Ameiah Wallace both pitched in 4 points, Abbie Brecht contributed 3 and Maggie McGuire and Giulia Vitale each got two.  The girls return to their home court on the 4th to take on Port Huron North, tipping of at 4pm.
