The Freshman Eagles grew their winning streak to 6 consecutive wins in only their 3rd home game of the season, tonight vs. Warren Cousino. The girls were dominant from the start sinking any hopes the Patriots may have had, by coming out to a commanding 11-2 lead in the first quarter and continuing it into halftime, leading 23-4. The girls had opportunities to master their quick-trapping defense and forced several turnovers with an aggressive full-court press. Everyone contributed to the scoring in the 48-6 victory with Kenzie Brinkmann leading the charge with 11 points. Molly Yeske scored 10 points while Maggie McGuire and Amy Sidaway added 6 points a piece. Chloe O'Loughlin hit the only 3 pointer of the game and Giulia Vitale, Ameiah Wallace, Ava Musharbash, Abbie Brecht, Layna Sturza and Alexandra Metzger all contributed 2 points each in a GREAT TEAM VICTORY!!
The girls are 9-1 as they head into the 2nd half of the season. They match up next with Grosse Pointe South, in a home game on Thursday, January 30th - 4pm, JV and Varsity to follow.
