Eagles Freshman Girls Basketball continues winning streak vs. Cousino

The Freshman girls basketball team head into the Holiday Break with a 5-1 record after a decisive win at Warren Cousino this afternoon. The girls started out strong collecting 18 points in the first quarter and heading into the half with a significant 22-8 lead. The second half saw a little life come back into the Cousino Patriots scoring 16 points in the 4th quarter, but the Eagles countered and shut them down with strong defense and team-work resulting in a 47-26 victory.
It was a great group effort, with many players contributing to the scoring. Ameiah Wallace led the way with 12 points, Amy Sidaway contributed 11 and Kenzie Brinkmann had 10 points. Molly Yeske had 8 points, Layna Sturza had 4 points and Chloe O'Loughlin & Allie Metzger both contributed 2 points.
After Christmas break, the girls host Dakota on Friday, January 10th, 4pm at IKE. JV & Varsity to follow in this Macomb County Rivalry match up.
