The JV girls came out with a win on Wednesday in Grosse Pointe, but not without a little excitement and anticipation. The girls started out in a deficit after one but then held the Norsemen scoreless in the 2nd quarter, heading into halftime with a lead. In the third, the Eagles scored just 1 point the entire quarter, but then put the pedal to the metal in the 4th and came out with a substantial 41-19 victory. The team have vastly improved at the Free-throw line, scoring 60% of their free-throws, led by Maggie McGuire who went 3-3 , Bella Yeske who went 3-4 and Amy Sidaway who went 5-8.
The scoring sheet reflected a team effort with Sidaway scoring 9, followed by McGuire with 6 and Bella Yeske with 5. Bridget Hafter and Kenzie Brinkmann scored 4 a piece, Aryonna Jackson scored 3, Molly Yeske, Layna Sturza, Abbie Brecht and Lexi Horattas all pitched in 2 points while Londyn Maples and Alexis Shkreli each scored a free-throw.
