17-0! The Perfect Season!  Way to go Ladies!  The Ike Girls Varsity Lacrosse team defeated Grosse Pointe South 14-12 in a very close and well played game to close out their amazing perfect undefeated season!  The Ike program just completed it's 3rd season and achieves the dream season.  Grosse Pointe South and Ike both played a great game, with both teams leading and scoring back and forth.  At the end, Ike edged out GPS, 14-12.  

Ike's defense, also known as "the Great Wall of China" played another great game.  Aleya Miller #15 and Abbey Dunn #12 tallied interceptions and stood tall in the arc.  Noelle Sherry #17 and Lilli Stivers #30 were seen many times pushing GPS attackers to the outside. Isabella Ventimiglio #9, showed her speed amping up the defense as well.  Great game to the entire defense.  Lacy Valutis #29 contributed 10 saves. 

Ike's offense was lead by Lindsay Valentine #14 and Avery Brothers #16 both scoring 4 goals.  Lindsay returned from her injury and had the 4 goals, 9 draw controls and 2 ground balls.  Avery tallied her 4 goals and added and assist, 6 ground balls and 2 draw controls.  Scoring was rouinded out with 3 goals from #19 Kendra Nolan, and 1 each from #2 Lexi Bruno, #5 Marisa Scola and #23 Sophie Zyczynski. 

The Girls start their playoff run with a home game against West Bloomfield HS at 6pm, Friday 5/24/19.  Come out and cheer them on.  Go IKE!
