The Eisenhower Girls’ Varsity Tennis team was expecting a tough meet with MAC Red rival Grosse Pointe South (GPS), who is currently ranked #1 in the state by MHSAA. GPS defeated the Eagles 7-1 at home; the one loss resulting from a default at 3 singles. GPS cruised through 2 sets in all flights, with more competitive matches at 2D, 3D, and 4D.

3D Natalia Pfeffer (12)/Angelina Vrzovski (11) 5-7, 3-6

4D Gabby DiCesare (11)/Kennedy Kullman (10) 3-6, 2-6

After taking 2 games the 1st set, 2nd doubles sisters, Paige and Elle Nicholson, pushed GPS to a 2nd set tiebreaker to decide the match.

3D duo Pfeffer and Vrzovski had competitive 1st and 2nd sets but lost.

4D team DiCesare and Kullman took a total of 5 games from GPS in 2 sets.

The Eagles face Farmington Hills Mercy (FHM) on Thursday, May 2nd @ IKE @ 4 PM.
