In their 2nd meeting of the 2019 season, the Eisenhower Girls’ Varsity Tennis squad defeated the Port Huron Northern (PHN) Huskies 7-1. Eisenhower had defeated PHN 5-3 on April 13th, at a varsity quad hosted by Eisenhower.

1S Alexis Anthes (10) 6-3, 5-7, 6-4

2S Tara Montreuil (9) 6-2, 6-0

3S Wiktoria Szemraj (11) 6-0, 6-0

4S Samantha Souder (12) 6-3, 6-1

1D Clare Henry (12)/Isadora Dimovski (12) 6-7(4), 6-1, 5-7

2D Paige Nicholson (11)/Elle Nicholson (10) 6-3, 4-6, 7-5

3D Natalia Pfeffer (12)/Angelina Vrzovski (10) 6-2, 6-4

4D Gabby DiCesare (11)/Kennedy Kullman (10) 6-3, 6-3

5D Aleksandra Makrievski (12)/CeCe DiCesare (11) 6-0, 6-0

1 doubles Henry and Dimovski forced a 3rd set after losing the 1st set in a tiebreaker and then winning the 2nd set decisively 6-1. However, they fell short in the 3rd set losing 5-7. The duo will seek their first win v PHN this Saturday @ the Novi Quad.

1 singles Alexis Anthes also went 3 sets and walked away with the win today after being defeated in 3 sets on Saturday.

The Nicholson sisters were able to defeat PHN again at 2nd doubles in 3 mentally tough sets.

3 doubles duo Pfeffer and Vrzovski were able to flip the script and pull out a win in 2 decisive sets after losing to PHN in 2 sets on Saturday.

The Eagles will face the Huskies again this Saturday, April 20th @ the Novi Quad and at the Regional meet in May.
