The District Trophy is back at Ike after the Lady Eagles battled in a tough match up against the Rochester Falcons Friday at Stoney Creek High School. The second half started off with a couple of quick baskets by the Falcons but the Eagles answered back. Their full-court press wreaked havoc on the Falcons, causing turnovers and mistakes allowing the Eagles to distance themselves after three with a 35-27 lead. In the fourth Rochester had one last surge but the Eagles held them off and hit some key free throws in the home stretch, to cap off a 47-42 win. Senior Captain Olivia Stack led the scoring with 19 points, followed by Lauren Lutz with 10. Meike Ingles added 6 points, Tori Verellen contributed 4 and Shaniya Coffee, Kennedy Kullman, Emma Griffiths and Lexi Bruno all had two a piece to cap off the Eagles scoring efforts.
