On Sunday the Eisenhower Eagles split a doubleheader with the Lancers of L'Anse Creuse.

In Game #1, Sophomore Carson Landino was very strong on the mound, striking out 8 in 5 innings of work. It was not enough as the Lancers outpaced the Eagles 5-2. Justin Hurt had 2 hits and a solo home run, while Aiden Ives, Aaron Thorpe, and Josh Bussineau all added hits.

In Game #2, IKE used offensive firepower, small ball, clutch defense, and big pitches to hold off the charging Lancers 8-7. Grant Bombe picked up his first win on the mound and Frankie Asta shut the door for the save in the 7th. Steven Jorgens was the defensive MVP with 2 stellar plays at 1st base and Wesley Gooch started off the rarely seen triple play to shut down a bases loaded, no out rally in the 5th. Offensively, Anthony Fodale joined Jorgens and Gooch with 2 hits a piece, while Sophomore Noah Sheridan drove in 2 runs. The Eagles are now 12-17 on the year and finished their MAC RED season at 6-9.
