The Eagles hosted the Crusaders in a MAC RED matchup, fighting for the 2nd place spot in the division and wanting to exact revenge for a loss earlier in the season.   The first half was evenly matched, opportunities came up for Ike but they were not able to capitalize or get the ball past the LCN Keeper.  Heading into the half, the teams were in a scoreless deadlock.

The 2nd half looked like it was going to be more of the same, until Eisenhower was able to earn a corner about 10 minutes in. Senior Zoya Dimovich stepped up to take the corner and placed the ball perfectly at the front post  where Junior Elena Medina headed it home, putting Ike up 1-0.  That proved to be the game winner, as the Ike back line consisting of Dimovich, Senior Captain Natalie Tangelder, Sophomore Katie Van De Winkle and Senior Sadie Zyczycinski  all denied any offensive attempts with Junior Captain Goalkeeper Amy Sidaway earning the shutout.

Eisenhower hosts Grosse Pointe North on Wednesday, May 18th at Swinehart where they will celebrate our graduating Seniors.  Game time is EARLY at 4:30.  Come on out and help us Celebrate a great group of girls.
