In a VERY exciting matchup - the Lady Eagles managed to pull off a victory vs. a strong Dakota team.   The game started off evenly matched and after one quarter, was tied up 10-10.  Londyn Maples stepped up with some key defensive plays and rebounds,  Aryonna Jackson also played very aggressive in the first half with the pair combining for 12 points, putting Ike on top at halftime 20-16.  

The aggressive play continued in the 2nd half and Ike improved from the freethrow line.  They hit some key free throws and made some key stops and headed into the final quarter with a 30-22 edge.  Dakota came out strong in the first 2 minutes of the 4th with a full-court press, forcing turnovers and narrowing the gap to 30-29.  The pressure continued, but Ike pushed through for a hard-earned 40-37 win.

Aryonna Jackson led the scorers for Eisenhower with a season high 16 points, followed by Bella Yeske with 8,  Amy Sidaway with 6, Bridget Hafner and Londyn Maples both scored 4 and Kenzie Brinkmann pitched in 2.  

The Girls Basketball teams host Grosse Pointe North on Wednesday and heads to Port Huron North on Friday.
