Boys Varsity BaseballThe Eisenhower Eagles broke a 3-3 tie on an Austin Thorpe single in the 5th inning and never looked back, beating the Richmond Blue Devils 6-3 at Comerica Park. In the regular season finale Owen Van Dam and Giuseppe Sapienza each had 2 hits while predominately pitchers Drew Baker, Gavin Rutkowski, and Nick Opperman all had huge hits and all pitched at least an inning of shutout baseball. Rutkowski picked up the W on the mound for IKE. Brandon Kedrow, Marco Fodale, and Landen Dupuis all had hits as well. GO IKE!!!!

Boys Varsity BaseballJimmy McGuire picked up his first career Varsity Win on the mound vs. the Utica Chieftains as the Eagles soared to a 12-2 win in 5 innings. CJ Rockafellow and Donovan Erfourth paced the IKE offense. Rockafellow was 2-2 with 4 RBI while Erfourth had a triple & a double & 2 RBI. 8 other Eagles added hits as IKE made it 4 victories in a row. GO IKE!

Boys Varsity BaseballIKE V. Baseball takes down Ford Falcons at Jimmy John Field. Carson Landino picked up his 5th win of the season on the mound. Landino went 6 innings & only gave up 2 hits & 1 run. Owen Van Dam had 2 hits and Donovan Erfourth had a 2-run game winning triple. GO IKE!

Boys Varsity BaseballGavin Rutkowski was rolling on Thursday with a complete game shutout of the Anchor Bay Tars 7-0. Rutkowski struck out 7 and scattered 4 hits in 7 innings of work. Offensively, all 9 starters had at least 1 hit with Owen Van Dam, Giuseppe Sapianza, and Donovan Erfourth each having multiple hits. Erfourth had 3 hits and 2 doubles while Van Dam and CJ Rockafellow each drove in 2 runs a piece. GO IKE!

Boys Varsity BaseballThe Eisenhower Eagle Seniors went out with a bang on Senior Day with a convincing 9-1 victory over Chippewa Valley. Carson Landino picked up his 4th victory on the mound with help from Nick Opperman, Noah Johnson, and Zack Verellen. Noah Sheridan and Giuseppe Sapianza paced the offense with a combined 4 hits and 5 RBI's.Verellen added 2 RBI's and Brandon Kedrow moved his hit streak to 4 consecutive games. GO IKE!

Girls Varsity SoccerEISENHOWER 4 - GPN 0 The Eisenhower Eagles played Grosse Pointe North Friday afternoon. Eisenhower struck fast, with just over a minute into the game, Ava DUKAJ delivered a pass into Ellera JAKUBOWSKI who headed it in for the goal. In the second half, JAKUBOWSKI earned the “Double Header” and her second header goal of the game, after getting a touch pass from Nimarta SAINI. The Eagles were not done yet, they followed it up with a goal from Freshman Adriana AVARA, and then a goal by Natalie VERNON, assisted by Ashley EDWARDS. Molly MELLOTT and the defense earned the 9th shutout of the year. The Eagles will play against the Romeo Bulldogs on Monday to finish the regular season. They moved to 12-1-1 on the season and 9-0 in the MAC RED conference.⚽️🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅 GO IKE!

Girls Varsity SoccerEISENHOWER 3 - DAKOTA 0 Eisenhower Eagles 🦅 clinched the 2024 MAC RED Championship this evening after a 3-0 shutout victory over the Dakota Cougars. The Eagles controlled the play for most of the game and MELLOTT was able to earn her eighth shutout. Ellera JAKUBOWSKI began the scoring for the Eagles mid way through the first half, notching her 18th goal of the season. A short time later, Ava DUKAJ scored the second goal of the game for IKE, assisted by JAKUBOWSKI. The third and final goal of the game was scored by Charlotte LONG who pounded it in the back of the net after a deflection from the Dakota keeper. A big credit is given to the defense and midfield as all of the Eagles contributed to the league clinching back to back championship! More work to do this Friday against Grosse Pointe North at Swinehart Field. Great work IKE, congrats! IKE improves 11-1-1 and 8-0 in the MAC. ⚽️🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅

Girls Varsity SoccerEISENHOWER 3 - ANCHOR BAY 0 The Eisenhower Eagles matched up against the Anchor Bay Tars tonight and it was ALL Eisenhower who controlled the game. Ava DUKAJ scored the first two goals for the Eagles, both goals were impressive strikes, one of those goals assisted by Maryn SMITH. The “sophomore connection” strikes again with Julia ANIEL passing to Ellera JAKUBOWSKI who scored Ike’s third and final goal of the evening. Like many games this season, the defense was stubborn, lead by Sonja PETERSON, Hadley FARR, Charlotte LONG and Nicole VON ZITTWITZ who helped Molly MELLOTT keep the clean sheet. The JV lost their match tonight against Anchor Bay 4-1. The IKE GIRLS SOCCER will face off against the Dakota Cougars on Wednesday at Swinehart. Carson Landino and Talan Pickens both launched home runs, while Giuseppe Sapienza, Owen Van Dam, and Donovan Erfourth each added 2 hits. Pickens, Sapienza, Erfourth, and Austin Thorpe all drove in 2 runs while Zack Verellen picked up his 2nd win on the mound. IKE now stands at a record of 12-12. GO IKE!

Girls Varsity SoccerEISENHOWER 5 - LCN 1 IKE WINS. It was a celebration of our Seniors as the Eisenhower Girls defeated their MAC RED opponent L’Anse Creuse North. Senior Ava DUKAJ started and finished the scoring for the Eagles, scoring two goals. Both of DUKAJ’s goals were assisted by Ellera JAKUBOWSKI. JAKUBOWSKI netted a “hat trick” for the Eagles; one was a header goal passed from DUKAJ. Her second goal was immediately after the lone LCN goal, assisted by Maryn SMITH, and her third goal came off of a free kick sent in by Hadley FARR. All of the girls contributed to the IKE victory this evening. Special shout out to our Seniors!!! The JV got the “W” as well 3-0. ⚽️👍🏼 Following the victories, the BOOSTER CLUB sponsored a pizza and post game party enjoyed by both the JV and Varsity teams. Girls Varsity SoccerEISENHOWER 4 - GROSSE POINTE NORTH 0 The Eisenhower Eagles girls soccer team kept up their winning ways with a 4-0 MAC RED victory over Grosse Pointe North. The Eagles controlled the pace for the majority of the game. Goals were scored by four different Eagles; Maryn Smith, Ava Dukaj, Ellera Jakubowski and Coral Dennis. Dukaj’s goal was off of a free kick in which Hadley Farr provided some deception. Dennis’ goal was a strong shot from the right side and sealed the team’s scoring, assisted by Jakubowski. The IKE defense and midfield kept the ball away from the net for much of the evening, helping Mellott to record IKE’s 6th clean sheet. The team is now 8-1-1 overall and 5-0 in the MAC RED. IKE plays L’Anse Creuse North at Swinehart on Wednesday. The JV plays at 4:00pm followed by the Varsity at 5:30 for Senior Night! Come support your IKE Girls Soccer teams!

Boys Varsity BaseballEisenhower Baseball wrapped up a series victory over the Ford Falcons with 4-2 victory at Ford. Logan Bach pushed his record to 3-0 with 5 strong innings on the mound. Zach Verellen picked up a save, striking out 4 Falcons in the final 2 innings. IKE was able to score single runs in the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th innings after falling behind 1-0. Owen Van Dam had 3 hits to pace the offensive attack. Nicole Fodale and Brandon Kedrow had 2 hits a piece while Fodale, Donovan Erfourth, CJ Rockafellow, and Giuseppe Sapienza each drove in a run. IKE is now 11-8 on the season. GO IKE!

Girls Varsity SoccerEISENHOWER 1 ROMEO 0 The Utica Eisenhower Eagles and the Romeo Bulldogs faced off in a MAC RED battle tonight at Romeo. IKE and Romeo were knotted at zero at the half. Ten minutes into the second half, Romeo broke up an IKE offensive attack and Senior Captain Hadley FARR stepped up to take away the ball. FARR fired a rocket to the upper 90 past the Bulldog keeper to give IKE the 1-0 lead and what would be the game winning goal. The midfield and defenders worked together to keep Romeo from developing any consistent offense for the remainder of the game supporting G Molly Mellott as IKE recorded their 5th shutout of the year. Julia ANIEL patrolled the middle of the field all day and made numerous sideline throw-ins to help keep the play in IKE’s end of the field. The Eisenhower Eagles increased their record to 7-1-1 and 4-0 in MAC RED play. The IKE girls have a few days off before Monday’s Varsity game at Grosse
